MasterGuard Testing
Has MasterGuard products been tested?
MasterGuard smoke alarms and MasterGuard heat alarms have been rigorously tested by Underwriters Laboratory. MasterGuard smoke and heat alarms have also been tested by a leading University. The MasterGuard heat alarm with a fusible link proved to have a probability of basically one in a million failure rate. That means that if you are protected by MasterGuard, you have a very high probability that the unit will not fail during flaming or high heat conditions. It is important to point out that the mechanical function of the fusible link fire detector offers long-term reliable fire detection. In our scientific research we found that a 117 degree F heat detector will activate while the room of origin is still tenable for safe egress. For the same type of fire, the MasterGuard photo-electric smoke alarm had a 3.99% probability of failure to detect a fire.
