IRECA - visit website - The International Rescue Emergency Care Association is the oldest international organization of its kind; representing men and women in the United States and Canada. IRECA was founded in 1948 at its first annual convention in Atlantic City, NJ. IRECA is entirely financed by membership dues, grants, endowments, and revenues generated by Association sponsored events. IRECA holds its annual conference in different locations across the United States and Canada. Highlights include continuing education seminars as well as business meetings, displays of rescue vehicles, and industry suppliers. We host championship competitions in First Responder, EMT, Paramedic, Technical Rescue, and Vehicle Extrication. Our loyal members continue to help our association grow into the new millennium. The mission of the International Rescue and Emergency Care Association is to provide it's members and the EMS/Rescue community with high quality educational programming and competitions, networking with EMS and Rescue professionals, and representation on regulatory and standards committees to ensure EMS and Rescuer safety and accountability.
